My Prayer

Many years ago, there was a little girl who lived in Africa—the most beautiful place on earth! A place where yes meant yes and no meant no. Where elephants wandered in the backyard, and the people were content, smiling, and always friendly.

That little girl never wore shoes, climbed trees, swam in rivers, and danced in the summer rain.

That little girl was me.

I was born in Canada, but spent over 30 years in Zimbabwe, and those years shaped my love for creation, birds, flowers, stories. Africa is in my heart, and it has overflowed into this book.

Now, I live in the USA with my wonderful husband of 29 years and have two amazing children, their great partners, and the very best granddaughter. I’ve written devotions for an international ministry and been published in a South African women’s magazine. Through it all, one dream remained—to write a novel that captures the Father’s breathtaking love for His children.

That dream has become my debut novel: The Dancer.

This isn’t simply a book—it’s a story that has the potential to change lives. It’s about our Abba Father who sings over His children, whose love is unconditional and never ending, who is present even when we go through the darkest of seasons. My prayer is that every reader is reminded that they are deeply loved by the LORD and never have to walk through life alone.

This blog, Claire’s Prayer, is here to remind both you and me about the incredible, never-ending, breath-taking love of our Abba Father.  A place where I pray your first love will be rekindled and you will stand in awe of the One who spoke this world into existence!
